All Saints Sunday Worship & Celebration Honoring Rev. Gary PutnamJoin us for a special All Saints Sunday worship service on Sunday, November 3rd, 2024, as we remember and celebrate the lives of those who have passed in the last year, including Rev. Gary Putnam, a dedicated Methodist minister and social justice advocate. Gary’s ministry spanned several universities, including his impactful work at the Wesley Foundation at Iowa State University, where he fostered a sense of community and service.
Gary Putnam’s legacy of compassion, service, and faith lives on through his participation in pivotal moments such as the March on Washington with Martin Luther King Jr., his work to reduce violence at the Wounded Knee massacre remembrance, and helping communities heal after the Cleveland Elementary School shooting. He also remained active in organizations such as the Peace & Justice Network, Planned Parenthood, and served as President of the Rotary Club of Stockton in 2008.
