The laughter is coming to Port Crane when Homebrewed Comedy hits the stage at New Leaf Cider on Sunday, Dec. 29. Teri Granahan is headlining the show and Bill Lake is joining host Mike Peters.The show starts at 7 p.m. and seating begins at 6:30. Tickets are $10 and available online and at the bar. They'll be $15 at the door the day of the show. Seating is limited, so it's best to buy your tickets early.
About the comedians:
Mike Peters, a Binghamton comedian, specializes in self-deprecating, observational humor. A contributor for Funny or Die, Peters is the founder of Homebrewed Comedy. He hosts at the Syracuse Funny Bone and Wise Crackers in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., won the Utica Brews Laugh Contest and Uptown Roast Battle and opened for Super Troopers’ Rabbit, Erik Stolhanske and Gilbert Gottfried. Peters produces shows all over New York and hosts his weekly podcasts, On the Mic with Mike Peters and It’s About Time: A Sopranos Watch Podcast.
A former contributing writer for David Letterman and Craig Ferguson, Bill Lake is a host at the Syracuse Funny Bone, performed yearly at the Binghamton Comedy Crawl and is a founder of the Boho Comedy Club in Binghamton. He’s performed at the Salem Comedy Festival, the Rubber City Festival, the Asheville Comedy Festival, the Cape Fear Comedy Festival, the Plano Comedy Festival, the Cleveland Comedy Festival and North Carolina Comedy Festival. One of Binghamton’s strongest comedians, Lake uses his smart writing to entertain audiences all over the upstate area. He made the finals of Buffalo’s Funniest Person in 2021, and he opened for Dana Gould and Dusty Slay.
Voted Class Clown and Most Funny in her graduating class, Teri Granahan knew early that comedy was in her future. Starting her career in New York City, Granahan won “Best New Talent” from New York Comedy Club and shared the stages at Stand Up New York, Broadway Comedy Club and The Improv with Jim Gaffigan, Judy Gold, Lisa Lampinelli and Patrice O’Neill. She appeared on MTV’s Apartment 2 with the Sklar Brothers and worked with Dave Russo on Boston’s Dirty Water. Working out of the Poconos, Granahan won “Best Comedian” in the Electric City and Diamond City’s “Best of” readers polls.
