About this Event

HOME SCHOOL ANIMALS IN WINTER

Thursday, January 29 from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM

Nankin Mills Interpretive Center, 33175 Ann Arbor Trail, Westland 48185

What are the remarkable traits that animals have to survive the Michigan winter? Find out in this program through a presentation with puppets, animal skins, skulls, and other props. We will also have a couple winter animal crafts and a hike if weather allows. Our hike will be up to one mile, with some small hills on a dirt and boardwalk trail surface.

The cost is $6 per student ($7 per student if out of county) and is recommended for ages five and older. Children younger than age five may attend for free, but please only if they do not disrupt the presentation. Parents/chaperones are free for this program and must accompany their children at all times.

Pre-registration is required by calling (734) 261-1990 or visit the Nankin Mills Interpretive Center. Our office hours are 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday through Saturday (closed Noon-1:00 PM for lunch). Nankin Mills Interpretive Center will be closed December 24-Janaury 1, open Friday, January 2nd, and closed Saturday, January 3rd. Starting Monday, January 5th, we resume our hours of 9:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday through Saturday.
