Home/Lands Chronicles: Beeston

The Home/Lands project is a musical exploration of home and what it means to belong led by saxophonist and composer Alicia Gardener-Trejo.

Alicia has been working alongside Beeston trumpeter Hugh Pascall to engage with local residents to collect the diverse narratives that make up Beeston’s community. Alicia and Hugh have then transformed everyone’s contributions from stories into music written exclusively for Beeston. Alongside this, Home/Lands Chronicles have commissioned local saxophonist and multi-disciplinary artist Marcus Joseph to create a series of spoken word pieces to go alongside the music.
