Home Inspections for Listing Agents, Hosted by Meritage Homes
About this Event
Practical CE for listing agents, hosted by Meritage Homes: find out what a pre-listing inspection turns up, how to walk a seller through repairs before the sign goes in the yard, and how to keep small findings from turning into big credits at closing. Free CE credits and lunch provided.
Are you ready to stop hearing about your listing's problems for the first time from the buyer's inspector?
Home Inspections for Listing Agents is a free CE class built for the listing side of the deal. Most agents think of inspections as a buyer's tool. Then an offer comes in, the inspector shows up, and the next week is spent renegotiating a price everyone already agreed to. This class covers the other approach: knowing what is in the house before it goes on the market.
We'll go through what a pre-listing inspection actually finds, which items affect marketability and which ones are noise, and how to talk to a seller about repairs when they still have time and leverage to do something about them. You'll leave with a way to read a report quickly, sort findings by what matters at the closing table, and have the repair conversation without it turning adversarial.
Meritage Homes is hosting us at their Hendersonville property and providing lunch, so you'll get a look at the home while you're there. The class includes an industry trends discussion, a networking round robin, and time for questions.
Free CE credits. Lunch provided by Meritage Homes. Thursday, August 13, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., 1024 Farm Ridge Drive, Hendersonville, TN.
