And somewhere along the way someone made you feel like homeownership was not really for people like you. That your income was too inconsistent, your taxes too complicated, your path too unconventional.
We are here to change that.
Better With Frnds and Own the Home ATL are bringing you the Home Hype Up, a free in person workshop designed specifically for Atlanta creatives, self employed buyers, and first time buyers who are curious about owning but feel like something is holding them back. This is the event your community has been needing.
Here is what we are covering:
How self employed buyers actually get a loan. We are breaking down the lending options that exist specifically for people with non traditional income, the programs nobody talks about, and what lenders are actually looking for when your income does not come from a W2.
What has been holding you back and why it might not be as big as you think. Inconsistent income, tax write offs, gaps in employment history. We are putting the most common blockers on the table and showing you the path through them.
What your rent actually buys you in Atlanta right now. Before the event we will ask you one simple question: how much is your rent and what kind of neighborhood do you want to live in? Then live at the event we will pull up a real home search and show you exactly what homes and condos are available between $200k and $400k, what that equals in a monthly mortgage payment, and walk you through 3 to 5 real Atlanta condos and houses so you can see with your own eyes that your next home is not a downgrade. It is an upgrade.
The day looks like this:
30 -45 minutes of real talk covering self employed lending, what is blocking you, and live search results based on your rent
30 minutes of open Q&A where no question is too small and nothing is off limits
60 minutes of mixing, mingling, and connecting with Atlanta creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs who are on the same journey
