Hosted by comedian, writer and architecture advocate Tim Ross, the evening will feature two live panel conversations with some of Melbourne’s leading names in residential design.
6pm: For architects, designers and builders
+ Tim Ross will be joined by Rob Mills and Adam Kane for a conversation about the ideas, responsibilities and decisions shaping residential architecture today.
+ Rob Mills has shaped Melbourne’s residential landscape for more than 30 years. As Founder and Creative Director of Rob Mills Architecture & Interiors, he leads a practice working across contemporary and heritage homes in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth.
+ Adam Kane founded Adam Kane Architects in 2015. The Melbourne practice is recognised for calm, highly resolved homes shaped by restraint, materiality and the people who inhabit them.
7pm: For homeowners
The second conversation walks through the process of creating a home in the order you’ll actually experience it, from the first architectural decisions through to interiors, landscaping and construction.
Rob Mills and Adam Kane will be joined by:
+ Robert Davidov, Founder of Davidov Architects, a practice built around atmosphere, light, spatial sequence and materials chosen to endure.
+ Stacey Van Harn, Director at Hecker Guthrie, one of Melbourne’s leading interior design practices, known for its discerning approach to materials, detail and spatial experience.
+ Matthew Cantwell, Creative Director of Secret Gardens, a practice that has helped set the benchmark for residential landscape design in Australia.
+ Nimrod Rotenberg, Head of Cobild Lux, overseeing the delivery of some of Melbourne’s most prestigious and complex residential builds.
