We shall hear from Malawi's Hon Minister for Health & Sanitation and the President of the Malawi UK Nurses' Association.
About this Event

The CPG will be honoured to host Honourable Minister Baloyi, one of over a dozen women who were elected in Malawi's last election as independent women MPs, who will give an update on the current situation in Malawi.

This will be followed by updates from the President of Malawian-UK Nurses Association (MUNA), Charity Gladstone MBE. Based on her experiences of working in both the UK and Malawi, Charity Gladstone recently wrote an article in The Independent: “How we invest in healthcare today shapes the future of our communities tomorrow” - highlighting the urgent need to rethink healthcare investment.

The Malawi CPG provides an inclusive, welcoming space in which Citizens and Parliamentarians develop and enhance links between Scotland and Malawi and have an opportunity for learning, sharing, discussion and face-to-face interaction. We especially encourage in-person attendance to meet our visiting Speakers and Parliamentarians.
