Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday (April 13 @ 9:30am) as we observe Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Our 8th grade Confirmands will also make their profession of faith before the congregation. We conclude by processing outside with palm branches in hand and sing Hosanna!
Maundy Thursday (April 17 @ 7pm) we continue with Jesus in the upper room establishing the New Covenant in His blood which is shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Learn of Jesus at supper with his disciples, and afterwards in prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane.
On Good Friday (April 18 @ 12 noon & 7pm), we have a prayer vigil at noon, and in the evening experience the stations of the cross as Christ bears the burden of our sin, and the church slips into total darkness during our Tenebrae service at 7pm.
Easter Sunday (April 20), rejoice and celebrate the Resurrection of Our Savior Jesus Christ! A traditional breakfast will be served by the Youth in the school cafeteria at 8:00am. Our Festival Service begins at 9:30am in the Church Sanctuary. We will serve Holy Communion, and sing with the Jubilate Choir and Arpeggio Orchestra. Afterwards, we go outside for the Easter egg hunt for the kids (bring your own basket).
