This Maundy (or Holy) Thursday, April 17, the Puyallup United Methodist and First Presbyterian Church choirs will be presenting a joint choir Cantata at 7 pm at First Presbyterian Church of Puyallup.
FPCP is located at 412 W Pioneer Ave, Puyallup, WA 98371.
Together, the choirs will perform “Tenebrae: A Service of Darkness,” by Hal H. Hopson.
Maundy Thursday is the Thursday before Easter. It's the time when we remember Jesus’ final hours of life on earth as he prepared for his coming death on the cross. That Sunday, Easter, is the day we celebrate his victory over death through the Resurrection.
All are welcome to come hear this story unfold through the special exposition of song.
