Your experimental Thursday Open Mic / Jam Night has arrived! Hosted by local freestyle wizard Flash Poetry, all aboard for an intimate night of performance magic, communal risk taking and musical fusion!
Holy Fool: A person willing to risk embarrassment or failure for the sake of truth, art and insight.
Encouraging the bold, foolish and experimental. Extra points for first time performers or anyone trying something they’ve never done before. No standards. No judgement. 10 min time limit. Read a poem, sing a song or give a speech on which cloud storage system is best. ALL performance types welcome.
23 October. 6pm @ Trainscendence.
How it works: 1 open mic set and then live freestyle jams to follow. Encouraging all freestylers and vocalists to jump up and do their thing during the sets. Sign-up for the open mic on the night from 6pm onwards!
🕡Time: 22 JAN- 6pm @ Trainscendence.
📍Location: Trainscendence – Collingwood’s new ridiculously cool creative hub. You have to see it to believe it. We’ll be in Platform Infinity, the ground floor cafe/performance space. Easy public transport access and lots of free street parking after 6pm.
🦵Directions: *Important* Entry via the laneway on Budd St behind 48 Easey St
🎟 Cost: This is a community open mic using the by donation model, so you can pay at the end of the evening and give according to your means and what you felt the night was worth. Card/cash accepted on the night.
🍕 Food: Bring something to share if you feel like being a legend. Otherwise, eat alone at one of the many great food options nearby.
