Hey everyone.
The last of our three guests is Steve Urwin, who will be running one of his awesome Writing Marathons for us (although it's a half marathon in this case, since we only have a couple of hours). In a writing marathon, the focus is on getting as many new pieces of writing started as we can in the time we have.
A few of us attended one of these last month, and it was glorious. I think we managed maybe 13 writing exercises in four hours, and it's great for getting past the surface level thoughts we might take into a workshop.
Do bear in mind, Steve runs a tight ship. The only talking during the session will be the basic instructions, the prompts themselves, and any writing people share. This is to maximise writing time, so if you fancy a chat, we could hang out for a bit downstairs after the session is finished.
If you've never tried this approach, I urge you to give it a try. Helen and I got so much from the one we attended last month.
