23 years ago, Juanita Rhame and several of her friends thought a parade down Bennett circle would be a creative way to celebrate patriotism on the 4th of July - nothing fancy, just flags and fun.
What started out as a cute idea among neighbors, has now become a small-town tradition carried on from one generation to the next.
This year town council member Leanne Troutman is back to keep this event alive and invites you to join in on the fun.
So, start decorating your bikes, trikes, lawnmowers, 4- wheelers, scooters, golf carts and yourself! 😆
No actual vehicles are allowed, but pets on leashes will be adored. 🐕 🐈 🐢 🐄 🐓
Parade begins at Bennett Circle and Bunch Ford Rd. and ends at Bennett Circle and Eutaw Rd.
So, on Saturday July4th, line-up at the end of Bennett Circle and Bunch Ford Rd to participate (come a bit early, at 9:30am, to set up) or line the parade path to cheer your neighbors on.
We'll start the parade at 10:00am.
Spread the word!
