Holloway/ Simmons/ Brown Labor Day Weekend Family Reunion 2024 New Bern NC

Hi family,

As you all know it’s been a while since we have had a full family reunion weekend. I would like to start back by getting the family more involved in this yearly tradition that we all use to love back in the day that would bring everybody home. Time isn’t waiting for any of us and let’s face it, when we all get together we have the best laughs and a lot of fun. Please look at the schedule I have put forth for now. Final times and locations will be announced at a later date.

Friday August 30th- Family meet & Greet out door movie night. This event will allow family members to get to know each other and to meet those you have never met before. We will grill hot dogs & hamburgers and have sides for the kids, cocktails for the adults and a 20ft outdoor inflatable movie projector screen. Please bring lawn chairs and blankets.

Saturday August 31st- Family field day from 9-12 at Lawson Creek Park. This event will include, tug a war, potato sack race, 3 legged race, egg and spoon race, fifty yard dash etc. we will have prizes and rewards for everybody.

Saturday August 31st- Family Reunion kick off at Lawson Creek Park from 2-6. We will have plenty of food, drinks, and desserts. We will have bouncy house and slides for the kids, bingo and prizes for all, and of course music for all ages. Saturday night for the adults is to be announced at a later date.

Sunday September 1st- 11 am Sunday worship service for the family. Church location will be announced at a later date.

Sunday September 1st- 3-5 pm family softball game at Kafer Park. This game will be for whomever wants to participate and we will have shirts made for each team member.

Sunday September 1st- 6:30-9:30 crab and fish fry, this location will also be announced at a later date as well.

I will be your 2024 Family Host. I will send out a final copy of everything with locations and times as time gets near. This is what we are looking at so far.

The cost of everything is looking to be

$25 for each child

$35 for each adult

These fees will provide the cost for

1. Food

2. Alcohol/ drinks

3. Activities & prizes

4. Family Reunion shirts & softball team shirts

5. Inflatable slides, movie screens, bouncy houses.

I think this is a fair amount for each individual and we should be able to net or goal without breaking anybody’s pockets. Also if you would like to contribute more than your payable amount you are more than welcome to do so.

I am looking forward to hearing back from everybody and hope you all are as excited as I am and are willing to join us as we start this kick out right. Also please send this out to other family members as I don’t have everybody’s number or you can send me their number. Love you guys ❤️❤️
