What do 5 million tulips, a historic windmill, and a BIG red lighthouse have in common?
They all can be found in Holland, Michigan - and on Sept. 13-14, so can you!
Tourism professionals from across Michigan are invited to join us for a two-day volunteer experience in this beautiful lakeshore community.
SEPT. 13 - SUNDAY FUN DAY: Choose from a FUN selection of adventures and experiences exploring the scenic views, culture, and history of the Holland area.
- Historic walking tour of downtown Holland with guide Linda Kaiser
- Wooden shoe painting with local artist Carolyn Stich
- An exclusive tour of Holland's Big Red Lighthouse, and open tours throughout the famed Nelis' Dutch Village.
That evening, we'll gather at the historic Windmill Island Gardens for a kick-off reception with food, beverages, music and fun...including tours of the 265-year-old authentic Dutch DeZwaan windmill.
SEPT. 14 MONDAY WORK DAY: Yes, it's work, but it's also FUN!
Volunteers will join staff from the Michigan DNR at Holland State Park to complete projects that will help to update, restore, and preserve another of Michigan's tourism treasures.
Space is limited so register now and invite industry friends and colleagues to join you!

Registration is $50 per person, which includes a custom-designed t-shirt for the event. If there is enough interest, bus transportation will be available from Detroit (with stops in Lansing and Grand Rapids) on Sunday morning, arriving in Holland early in the afternoon (light lunch provided) and then departing Monday after our wrap-up reception.
We hope you'll join us Sept. 13-14 along the shores of Lake Michigan!
