Holistic School Safety

Join us for an interactive experience at the AIA-certified course "Holistic School Safety," hosted by Fielding International. This event is intentionally designed for school designers and educational practitioners to explore what it means to create holistically safe schools collaboratively. High school and college-age students will receive complimentary entry.

We’ll dive into the three essential domains—secure, human-centered, and conducive to learning—imagining both their potential and the pitfalls of imbalance.

Participants will engage in thoughtful discussions about what can go wrong in school design when one domain overshadows the others. Through this exploration, attendees will leave with a stronger sense of holistic school safety and feel empowered to apply new language and tools within their local settings.

This 2.5-hour session promises to deepen your understanding of the critical intersection of safety and design, ensuring that all voices are heard in the conversation. The ideal participant is anyone involved in the design and implementation of educational spaces who is passionate about fostering environments that truly support the needs of all learners.
