Join us on Saturday, June 13 for this Holistic Land Management Workshop led by J. Dylan Kennedy of Ketelwood Farm and FieldSpeak. This workshop combines a classroom-style educational overview of the Foundations of Holistic Land Management and an afternoon spent in Foxhollow pastures working hands-on with our Master Cattleman, Derek Lawson, to experience the real world application of these holistic decision making principles.
With over 15 years of experience building regenerative farm systems across the country, Dylan has a deep passion for agroecology and the role of humans within their ecosystems. He is a Certified Permaculture Designer and an Accredited Professional through the Savory Institute.
Have you been wanting to dig deeper into holistic land stewardship? No matter your current resources – a patio herb garden, an urban backyard oasis, or your own family farm – this workshop is an incredible opportunity to learn hands-on from folks doing the real work.
About the Course: Holistic Decision-Making
This workshop will introduce a holistic decision-making framework from the perspective of regenerative farmers and land managers. Participants will learn to differentiate between
complex and complicated systems, and discuss necessary differences in approach when dealing with them in our daily lives.
We will overview the foundations of Holistic Management in the morning session, then move to the field to see hands-on holistic decision making on a working regenerative cattle farm. While viewing complexity from the lens of the working ecosystem, this course will be enjoyable to anyone interested in applying systems theory within their own lives. Resources for further engagement with regenerative agriculture and holistic management will be shared.
