Join us for the Annual Holiday Tree Lighting on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 5:30 PM at the Seneca County Justice Center, and kick off the holiday season in downtown Tiffin! Hosted by the Seneca Regional Chamber of Commerce and Destination Seneca County, this event will feature live music by the Off Our Rockers Chorus, a vibrant group of 70 senior citizens brought together by their shared love for music, community, and humor.As part of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church’s Community on Stage initiative, Off Our Rockers celebrates the spirit of inclusivity and creativity, providing people of all ages and abilities with opportunities to explore the performing and technical arts. Their heartfelt and lively performance will set the perfect tone for the event.
When the switch is flipped, the community holiday tree will come to life with thousands of sparkling lights, brightening the night and bringing joy to all. The tree will also be adorned with nearly 500 ornaments, proudly crafted by local 5th graders and businesses. Prior to the lighting, enjoy remarks from community leaders, a visit from Santa, and more.
Warm up with free hot chocolate sponsored by Bailiwicks Coffee Company as you take in the festive atmosphere. The audio for the night is graciously provided by the team at Sound Solutions of Ohio, ensuring an excellent listening experience for all attendees.
After the tree lighting, continue the festive evening at the third annual Kris Kringle Markt, a traditional German-themed Christmas Market in downtown Tiffin, perfect for holiday shopping and enjoying seasonal treats.
Be sure to walk through downtown Tiffin and take in the efforts of Operation Hallmark, a nonprofit organization established in 2023. Operation Hallmark aims to beautify Tiffin with holiday cheer, transforming the downtown district into a true winter wonderland. Comprised of five dedicated couples who recognized the need for a more welcoming holiday atmosphere, the organization has succeeded through fundraising and volunteer efforts, making Tiffin a must-visit holiday destination.
