Holiday Open House at The Barn at Stratford and the Meeker House Museum
About this Event
The Meeker House Museum and The Barn at Stratford will open for the afternoon. We’ll have refreshments and live music in The Barn.
Our focus will be on the history of the Columbus, Delaware and Marion interurban line that passed through Stratford from about 1903 to 1933. It would have passed right in front of the Meeker House and The Barn alongside Stratford Road.
We’ll be offering tours of the Meeker House and the opportunity to play games from our World Wide Games collection. We’ll also have a special Make N Take project oriented towards adults and older children.
If you’re interested, we’re offering trolley tours through Delaware on the original CDM route. You can purchase your ticket on Eventbrite. Just search for “Holiday Trolley Tour” in Delaware and pick your tour time. Three times are available for the ~1 hour tour.
This is a free event but donations are always appreciated.
