The Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce will continue its decades-old tradition of officially kicking off the holiday season with our Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony on the square!
See the town square come to life! The Annual Holiday Lighting Ceremony will be held on Friday, November 27, 2026 (Black Friday) at Central Park in Fairfield. To begin the illumination and officially welcome the holiday season, the Fairfield Area Chamber of Commerce organizes this festive community tradition.

The Fairfield High School Choir will set the mood by singing holiday music beginning at 5:30 p.m. The holiday lights will turn on around 6:00 p.m., immediately following the caroling, as the community gathers for this special moment. The current Citizens of the Year will have the honor of throwing the switch to illuminate the square for the season.
After the lights come on, Santa will be welcoming children in the Santa House to hear their holiday wishes. Horse-drawn wagon rides will circle the square, adding to the magic of the evening. Free hot cocoa and cookies will be available at the Santa House, making it a warm and festive experience for all ages.
Return every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the holiday season to visit Santa from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Guests can take photos with Santa and stop into the workshop to add their photo to a commemorative ornament.
