Next year Darlington County Recreation Department will be taking a trip to New York City for Christmas time! This is the second of two long distance overnight trips we will be taking in 2026. There will be a trip presentation on October 20th at 10 AM that will cover everything we will do and everything you need to know about booking this trip. Deposits can be made now and the final total is not due until Sept 12, 2026. This trip will be 5 days long and highlights include: staying in a hotel in Times Square, a tour of Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Greenwich Village, Chinatown, and Rockefeller Center, a Rockettes show at Radio City Music Hall, a visit to the Statue of Liberty and Elis Island, a visit to the 9/11 memorial, and catching a show at Broadway. There will be time between planned activities where travelers can choose how to send their time doing other things in the city such as shopping or ice skating.
