Help us bring some holiday cheer to Blue Island!
Every year, neighbors and volunteers come together to decorate the planters along Western Avenue and Olde Western Avenue with fresh evergreens and festive decorations. Join us as we continue this wonderful community tradition and get Blue Island ready for the holiday season!

🕙 Time: 10:00 AM
📍 Meeting Location: Blue Island City Hall, 13051 Greenwood Ave, Blue Island, IL
What to Expect:
We'll begin at City Hall with a quick demonstration before heading out to decorate planters throughout the community. Volunteers will work in small teams along Western Avenue (119th Street to Grove Street) and Olde Western Avenue.
How You Can Help:
🌿 Prepare and distribute greenery and decorations
🎄 Decorate planters throughout the community
🧹 Help with cleanup and keeping our streets looking beautiful
What to Bring:
- Gardening gloves
- Pruners, if available
- Warm clothing for working outdoors
Whether you can help for an hour or stay for the whole event, every helping hand makes a difference!
Bring your friends, family, and neighbors. This is a great opportunity to give back to our community while spreading some holiday cheer.
