Class will begin with studio safety instruction and introduction to use of a dual fuel torch. Students will learn the fundamentals of working with Borosilicate glass to create clear icicle ornaments and progress to adding color and sparkle. We will then create a solid sculpture ornament, on a small scale, so it is light enough to hang on a tree - a drop, snowman, ballerina or candy cane. If time permits, class will also include an introduction to blowing small glass ornaments.
Glint will provide all the glass and tools you need to complete your projects.
Come make some glass treasures and meet some new friends while you learn the fundamentals of manipulating glass with heat and gravity, using color, adding hooks, and more!

Creations will need to be properly annealed (cooled slowly overnight in a kiln for strength and durability) and can be picked up during open hours or by appointment within the next two weeks.
