Holiday Food Drive Charity Tournaments

The start of the holiday season is on the horizon, and with that comes the season of giving and a wonderful time to do charitable deeds for your community! We will be collecting food items for Under One Roof Food Pantry. Under One Roof Food Pantry had its start as an outreach project of the Women of St. Paul’s organization over twenty years ago. Today, the Under One Roof Food Pantry and Emergency Fund is a collaborative effort involving six Maumee area churches, community agencies, local merchants, schools, organizations and private donors. These partners provide food, toiletries, household products, financial donations and volunteers to equip and operate a handicapped accessible storefront on the grounds of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church.
Each event is Standard Format, Swiss round tournament based on attendance. Entry fee is a minimum of 5 non-perishable food items (minimum of 10.5 oz with an expiration date of no sooner than Next year). One food item will be at stake in each round. Whoever wins in that Round will take all the food items that were at stake. Each person will receive one Pack for each food item they turn in at the end of the Tournament (Max of 9 Packs). Please note that while you may bring in more than 5 food items, and even be encouraged to do so, you can only use 5 food items for the event. The additional food items would be a
donation above and beyond what is required to participate.
