Santa, Mrs. Claus, and all the Monkeys on the Mantle are returning to the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park for Holiday Fest! Join us on Saturday, December 5th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. for a holly jolly good time that leads into an evening of Merry & Bright Canopy Lights from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Holiday Fest is free with regular zoo admission.
Throughout the day, guests can pick up a holiday BINGO game card on arrival and search for Twinkle the Monkey Elf and her “Monkeys on the Mantle” friends – they’ll be making mischief and hiding all around the Zoo. Kids’ prizes for playing the game will be available in the gift shop, too.
Between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the Mayan Restaurant waiting to meet you and hear what’s on your Wish List. Guests can stop into the Education & Conservation Center to enjoy winter-themed games and crafts and meet some special animal friends who’ll be making appearances throughout the event, as well. As always, the Giraffe Feeding Experience will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., so there will be plenty of time to stop into the Giraffe Discovery Center to warm up and say hello to Zuri, Nigel, and Eddie. Servings of food for the giraffes will be available for $2 each (cash only).
The Neil Anderson Canopy Tour will be open starting at 9:00 a.m. (weather permitting), so guests can enjoy a bird’s-eye view of our very own winter wonderland. Merry & Bright Canopy Lights will also take place from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. that evening. Tickets for these evening excursions are available at the Adventure Park’s Base Camp Building and are also available online now at newzoo.org
