Celebrate the end of the year with a contra dance! Penelope Weinberger will call to the Wild Wombats of the Chesapeake, who are Carl Friedman - fiddle, Robin Wilson - flute, sax, and concertina, and Janina O'Brien - keyboard, whistle, and bodhran. We'll dance from 7:00 - 10:00 with a break in the middle for a waltz and snacks which you will bring to share. Penelope will run a new dancers' practice lesson at 6:30. She'll teach every dance and walk through and call them as we do them. Contra dancing is easy, fun, and for everyone. No prior dance experience is necessary, and no need to bring a partner!Cost: sliding scale $12 to $20+ as you are able.
Children 13 or younger dance FREE!
