Celebrate color and the arrival of spring at the City’s annual Holi Festival of Color on Saturday, March 14 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Generations Park at Boys Ranch, 2801 Forest Ridge Dr.Holi is an ancient Indian celebration that marks the beginning of spring after a long winter and is symbolic of the triumph of good over evil. The festival will include live performances by Flower Community Power (a local Indian dance group), a DJ, food trucks, chalk art, henna tattoos, and more! 🎵 This year, we’re also adding a vibrant kite-flying area 🪁, where attendees can decorate and fly their own kites.
The highlight of the festival will feature throwing colored chalk (the powder is safe and non-toxic) into the air and on one another, creating a bright sea of colors. There will be multiple color throw opportunities throughout the event, as well as a large group color throw at 4:30 p.m.
