Holi (Festival of color), the name itself splashes colors and makes the heart bloom with hope, love and life. In the Indian subcontinent this festival marks the onset of Spring and is seen as an invocation for a good harvest festival.You are invited to join in this hands-on cooking class with Bollywood fun Holi music to learn to cook and enjoy a few staple Holi dishes from Northern Indian state called Bihar. You also learn the customs and traditions associated with this festival.
Holi Menu:
- Dahi vada (Lentil fried dumplings, soaked in yogurt, served with tamarind chutney and garnished with roasted spices)
- Kachori (Spiced lentil stuffed pastry)
- Pua (Sweet fried crispy pancake infused with saffron & cardamom)
- Thandai (a sweet drink made from milk whipped with almonds, saffron and poppy seeds).
