All our recreational courses are taught using a hogarthian configuration: backplate & wing with a 7ft/2.1m long hose regulator and alternate air source on a bungee necklace. This minimalistic configuration was born out of a need of standardization for exploration project in order to build capacity, safety and cohesion within the management of resources and team members, and is now the global reference for technical diving. It provides the simplest and most meaningful approach to scuba diving, providing comfort and efficiency in your every day diving.
The whole philosophy is to start your journey with the end in mind, meaning you will learn the fundamental skills and procedures that will remain the same throughout your diving career should you want to evolve in the future. Rather than having a configuration that is limited in its application as well as practicing a diving method that will be proven obsolete, the diver will be able to practice the right skills and gear that will grow with them, which in the end will make you a more capable, confident, safe and thinking diver right from the start.
