Join us for a wickedly fun Hocus-Pocus themed cookie decorating class! Step into a world of the Sanderson Sisters, vibrant colors and quirky designs as we guide you through decorating delightful cookies inspired by your favorite Halloween movies! Kits to decorate these cookies at home are also available. Go to purchase tickets to view that option. Light refreshments and a variety of teas courtesy of The Hummingbird Cafe. The cafe is located at 79 Main Street, Unit 4 Torrington CT 06790 on the second floor above Tina’s Cafe 38 and Love It Vegan. Please note this is on the second floor and only accessible by stairs.
Everyone will have 6 cookies to decorate, their own bags of colored icing and a box to hold your finished cookies. In this 2 hour class, we'll cover the basics to sugar cookies, including piping, flooding and adding the cute finishing touches! No experience is required to come and enjoy this class.
Come by yourself, bring your best friend, or bring the family - we have seating for up to 12 people! There is a discounted ticket price if you buy for two attendees at the same time. Adults and kids 10 and up are welcome! Everyone who attends will require their own ticket. Bring glasses if you need them for close up work and your phone to take pictures of your beautiful creations. Please tag me @claussencookies and @thehummingbirdcafe and share during and after class!
By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies that will be dry in approximately 12 hours. I’ll send you an Amazon link with a list of the tools we used in class so that you can recreate these cookies at home. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!
A little about me – I’ve been baking sugar cookies since 2013– and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookie themes to decorate are cookies that look like other foods– but I could do anything if icing is involved. I am a licensed cottage food operation working from my home in Torrington CT.
