We’re bringing back miniature hobby classes for those new to miniature building and painting!Here’s how it works. We will have four classes covering the basics of how to build, paint, and get your minis ready for the tabletop! Each class will build upon the last class and help you get several techniques down including building and cleaning models, traditional layering and highlights, contrast methods, and how to do slap chop/zenithal highlights to great effect!
This set of classes are on Tuesdays OR Thursdays in January:
Class 1 (January 6th or 8th): Building and cleaning models
Class 2 (January 13th or 15th): Base coats of paint, shades, and highlighting
Class 3 (January 20th or 22nd): Speed painting techniques including slap chop, contrast, and drybrushing
Class 4 (January 27th or 29th): Final highlights, details, and bases.
Each class starts at 5:30pm and ends at around 7pm.
Classes are $30 each and if you sign up for all four then they only cost $90
Recommended Paints (From Games Workshop, + a color description if you prefer another paint range):
Abaddon Black (Base) (A flat black)
White Scar (Layer) (A bright white)
Celestra Gray (Base) (A light cool gray)
Retributor Armour (Base) (A warm gold metallic)

Teclis Blue (Layer) (A medium blue)
Agrax Earthshade (Shade) (A dark earthy shade)
Ork Flesh (Contrast) or Orc Skin (Army Painter Speedpaint)

Blood Angels Red (Contrast) or Slaughter Red (Army Painter Speedpaint)

Hobby Knife (Or a mold line remover for younger participants)
