HMU Tie Me Down: Rope 101

About the Class

In this class, Anya and Saraf will cover skills for beginners to the exciting world of rope through discussion, demonstration, and hands on exercises!

This class will include learning a single column tie, how to build structure from there, important safety information, and an exercise to help people learn to play immediately and with intention if time allows.

Participants will leave this class with knowledge of sone basic building blocks, as well as the ability to find play out of simplicity.

About Your Facilitator

Anya Demure (she/her) is a rope bondage enthusiast, educator, and performer with a lot of energy and a lot of hair! She relishes creating and embodying interesting physical shapes, and delights in enduring physically challenging experiences. For her, rope bondage is endurance, sex, power, community, vulnerability, movement, art, collaboration, and mutual experience. She is dedicated to promoting bottom-inclusive education and presentation, and fostering safe, friendly, and encouraging learning environments. She has been fortunate to teach, tie, and be tied in various communities in the US and abroad, but calls Brooklyn home.

This class is for total beginners, no prior knowledge needed.

Wear clothing you are comfortable tying and being tied in, Please keep underwear on.

Solo and partnered attendees welcome!
