HMU Academy Nips & Bits: Exploring Pain, Pleasure, Intensity & Sensation
About this Event
This Hit Me Up event is open to the public, 21+.
About the Class
Sometimes the sensations that look the most intense can feel surprisingly good.
Nips & Bits is a playful, educational exploration of sensitive, squishy, and vulnerable areas of the body and the many creative ways we can engage with sensation. Rather than treating pleasure and discomfort as opposites, this class explores what happens when we allow different sensations to overlap, alternate, and build upon one another.
A little pressure can make a soft touch feel softer. A brief moment of intensity can dramatically change how the sensation that follows is experienced. Approaching someone's limit, backing away, allowing time to recover, and beginning again can create an experience that is physical, psychological, connective, and highly individualized.
And none of this requires diving straight into the deep end.
We'll explore a wide spectrum of sensation, from gentle teasing and playful overstimulation to more intense forms of pressure, percussion, texture, abrasion, and focused sensation. We'll discuss how different bodies experience these sensations, ways to vary intensity, recognizing when to pause or change course, and how thoughtful pacing can create a dynamic experience rather than simply making something "hurt."
We'll also explore the why behind intense sensation. People may enjoy these experiences for many different reasons: the physical sensations themselves, anticipation, vulnerability, intimacy, surrender, embarrassment, power exchange, trust, or simply the thrill of exploring something new. Understanding what someone is responding to gives us many more ways to create experiences intentionally and responsibly.
Topics include:
• Safety, negotiation, consent, and communication
• Basic anatomy and risk awareness
• Pressure and compression
• Percussive sensation and safer technique
• Texture and abrasion
• External and internal sensation considerations
• Overstimulation and alternating sensations
• Varying intensity, pacing, breaks, and recovery
• Combining pleasurable and challenging sensations
• Using oscillating sensation to create anticipation and contrast
• Creative disposable and everyday implements for sensation exploration
Whether intense sensation is already something you enjoy or you're reading this thinking, "That sounds terrifying...but also kind of intriguing," this class offers approachable ways to experiment, communicate, understand risk, and discover what works for you and your partners.
Come discover just how much fun the squishy bits can be!
About the Instructors
Mx. Fox is a femme domme, k!nk educator, and relationship & intimacy coach with nearly a decade of experience practicing and teaching in the NYC scene. Their work focuses on helping people of all experience levels build confidence, express themselves shamelessly, and create hotter, safer, and more connected play and relationships.
Patch is an educator, Dom, and impact top with 16 years of experience guiding people through explorations of kink, connection, embodiment, and altered states of being. Drawing from a background in music and percussion, martial arts, energy work, and sacred sexuality, his approach moves fluidly between rhythm and ritual, technique and intuition, the deeply intentional and the delightfully unhinged. Whether teaching, playing, or creating an experience, Patch loves helping people wiggle at the edges of their reality, challenge what they think they know, and discover just how much bigger their world can become.
