About the Class

Embarking on the journey of attending play parties solo can be both exhilarating and daunting. Whether you're new to the scene or a seasoned attendee seeking to navigate these spaces independently, this workshop is tailored to empower you with the confidence, skills, and knowledge to thrive solo. This workshop is also for partnered people who are interested in attending play parties without their partners. This interactive session combines guided discussions, role-playing exercises, and group activities to provide a comprehensive learning experience. You'll have the opportunity to practice scenarios, ask questions, and engage with others in a supportive environment.

By the end of the workshop, you'll walk away with:

• Gained insights into the social aspects of play parties, including how to approach conversations, read body language, and engage respectfully with others.
• A toolkit for confidently attending play parties solo.
• Enhanced communication skills to navigate social interactions with ease.
• Techniques to manage anxiety, maintain emotional well-being, and ensure a positive experience while attending events alone.

About the Instructor

Nikita Fernandes (she/her) is a certified sex therapist and psychotherapist located in New York City. She has ample experience in navigating sex positive spaces solo. She lives at the intersections of various identities such as being an immigrant, south asian, queer, neurodivergent and poly. Nikita navigates the sex positive scene as a sexual health educator as well as a fellow human being. Her work lies in empowering people with marginalised identities to cultivate mindful relationships with their sexuality. Nikita has worked with multiple kinky individuals and poly couples in New York City and has been featured in Cosmopolitan, GQ, and Huff post
