As the largest Asian American ethnic group in the state, more than 58,000 people of Hmong-Lao descent live in Wisconsin. The vibrant and distinct cultures of Hmong and Southeast Asian American communities, from families who have lived in Wisconsin for generations to recent immigrants and refugees, are now an integral part of our state’s identity.
