Well, its officially on. After a number of enquiries from not only those who served at HMAS HUON.But also, Rockies as well as other e-members of the RAN, it was decided by the reunion committee to hold the reunion for those who were posted as part of the HMAS HUON ships company, so in other words, PNF sailors and partners, this decision was made due to the size of the venue.
The Reunion will take place at the Hobart Workers Club in Elizabeth St, Hobart CBD on Saturday 29th JUNE at 18hrs.
There is a lot of accommodation nearby, with Hobart City Apartments two doors away from the venue. Crown Plaza a two minute walk, and RACV Hobart Hotel a five minute walk. Hobart City apartments have offered a generous discount and if you go to their booking website and enter the code HWC in the promo box.
It is intended for the Reunion to be just a one night only event, no meet n greet etc. Costs are still being negotiated with the HWC, for food and drinks and room hire, but are hoping this to come in below $80pp inc meals etc.
