About this Event
UCSF Professor and HIV expert Dr. Diane Havlir will host a conversation with Dr. Susan Buchbinder and Dr. Hyman Scott on the latest developments in HIV prevention and how these are being affected by new US policies. San Francisco has led the world in research and implementation of HIV prevention interventions since the start of the HIV pandemic. Although San Francisco has seen great reductions in new cases of HIV, there are still hundreds of persons with newly diagnosed HIV in San Francisco every year, and millions around the world. We now have new and better products for HIV prevention as a result of strategic Investments in science. The question now is: What is possible to achieve in the HIV epidemic at this juncture in time?
