From 1913 through 1957, Ebbets Field was the Brooklyn Dodger’s home park. Those years were filled with moments that were historic, sad and just plain funny. This program will present highlights from each category to capture the spirit of the Dodgers and their beloved ballpark.John Zinn is an independent historian with a special interest in the history of baseball. He is the chairman of the board of the New Jersey Historical Society. John is the author of five books including three about the Brooklyn Dodgers. He also writes a blog on baseball history entitled A Manly Pastime. He is the scorekeeper for the Flemington Neshanock vintage baseball team. John holds BA and MBA degrees from Rutgers University and is a Vietnam veteran.
This lecture is part of the EB Friends of the Library's spring General meeting.
