As part of our America 250 programming, Lars Lippard will examine how North Carolina's borders were established and how the state came to take its present shape. Covering developments from the colonial and pre-Revolutionary period through the early 1800s, this talk will explain how surveyors, geography, and politics helped determine the state lines we know today.
