Machattie Park in the heart of Bathurst is much-loved by locals and visitors alike who are drawn to its peaceful shade, beautiful features and gardens, and the spectacular annual begonia display. The beautiful park stands on the site of Bathurst’s second gaol, and its story is a fascinating one of transformation.
Jan Page OAM is the author of 'Machattie Park Bathurst'. Books will be available for purchase on the night. A well-known local, Jan is also President of the Friends of Bathurst War Memorial Carillon and President of the Bathurst Family History Group.
