Info about Program: Presentation about the history of Henry Ford’s Village Industry concept, focusing primarily on Nankin Mills. Learn what it was like here at Nankin Mills in the early 1900s when Ford was establishing many similar industry sites throughout Southeast Michigan. As World War II faded, the de-centralized Village Industry concept faded, learn why as well as remaining influences from the concept.
