History of Israel Plummer and Plummer Landmarks

The Northbridge Historical Society will meet Monday, October 5, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. at the Singh Theater @ Open Sky/Alternatives, located at 60 Douglas Road, Whitinsville, MA
Austin Alexander, Visitor Services Supervisor of the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation will present an illustrated program on Israel Plummer.
The east end of Northbridge is full of Plummer places - Plummer's Corner, Plummer Park, Plummer's Landing, Plummer Apartments and Plummer School. How did this man come to be so honored?
The program, our first of our fifty sixth season, will be preceded by a short business meeting lead by Society President John W. Walker, Jr.
The Northbridge Historical Society, located at the Colonel James Fletcher Homestead, One Elm Place, Whitinsville, collects, organizes, preserves and shares the history of Northbridge.
The presentation is open to the public.
