Join us for our next History Happy Hour, featuring Benjamin Wendorf, PhD! While railroad scholarship extensively covers the technological and commercial implications of the expansion of overland networks, it infrequently explores the social transformations. In "Tracks and Transformation", Benjamin places Atlantic World railway development into what he calls a "relative history," showing how peoples of African descent of similar geographic origin - Gold Coast West Africa - found themselves laboring over, living near, and being impacted by the tracks they laid.
Doors open at 5:30pm, program starts at 6pm. Free admission!
