History Camp 2025

Session 1: June 9 – 13

9am – 12pm

Session 2: July 7 – 11

9am – 12pm

This day camp is designed for children ages 6 (by April 1, 2025) to 11 years old. The cost for each week-long session Is $125. All campers will receive a History Camp t-shirt.

Dive into Mount Prospect history this summer with two unique sessions of History Camp! Historians-in-Training will explore different aspects of local history on the Historical Society campus and at various community locations through activities, walking field trips, and special guests. Each session of History Camp will combine favorite activities from past sessions with new activities that teach campers about different topics in local history. Programming varies from prior years as well, so repeat campers are welcome!

Some of the New Activities for 2025

• Learn how to record your family history with a genealogy lesson from MPPL Librarian Anne Shaughnessy (both sessions)
• Grow a mini Victory Garden
• Learn about animals in Mount Prospect's past, like Moody the Raccoon and Mac Peplin the dog
