Do you enjoy reading nonfiction? Do you like the idea of talking about literature in a cozy old house? Join us at the Shelton McMurphey Johnson House for our History Book Club. We are reading books that matter to the SMJ, and we want our patrons to go on this journey with us. We encourage our patrons to look for books at their local library or at one of Eugene or Springfield's many bookstores. Come and discuss these three books on the following dates: April 24 - Democracy Awakening: Notes on the State of America, Heather Cox Richardson
May 22 - Perseverance: A History of African Americans in Oregon's Marion and Polk Counties, Elizabeth McLagan
June 26 - Dreams of West: A History of the Chinese in Oregon, 1850-1950, Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association
