Michael is an accomplished artist who works in a variety of traditional forms to recreate and preserve historic Native American artwork. He spent part of his early years attending White Settlement Elementary School and later built a career as a machinist. Michael also helps organize the Annual Powwow at the Chisholm Trail Outdoor Museum and is deeply involved in cultural preservation.
His talk, titled โThe CHahta Experience,โ will explore the history, heritage, and continued legacy of the Choctaw people.
โจ Michael will also be bringing samples of his artwork and other artifacts to share with attendees!
This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand stories and insights, and to see meaningful cultural art up close.
