Dec 4: by Joanna Goodman

Set in 1950's Quebec, Philomena meets Orphan Train in this suspenseful, provocative novel filled with love, secrets, and deceit--the story of a young unwed mother who is forcibly separated from her daughter at birth and the lengths to which they go to find each other.

Jan 8: The Maniac by Benjamin Labatut

A story centered around one of the great geniuses of the modern age, the Hungarian polymath John von Neumann. He transformed every field he touched, inventing game theory and the first programable computer, and pioneering AI, digital life, and cellular automata.

Feb 5 : A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles

This book immerses us in another elegantly drawn era with the story of Count Alexander Rostov. When, in 1922, he is deemed an unrepentant aristocrat by a Bolshevik tribunal, the count is sentenced to house arrest in the Metropol, a grand hotel across the street from the Kremlin. Rostov, an indomitable man of erudition and wit, has never worked a day in his life, and must now live in an attic room while some of the most tumultuous decades in Russian history are unfolding outside the hotel's doors.
