HISTORIC NEWBURGH STATE STREET WALKING TOUR

If you are looking for a fun way to spend a spooky October night, make plans to visit the return of the Ghost Walk State Street Walking Tour. Be prepared to be amazed by the events that took place long ago on this quaint little street. Who would have ever guessed that such a gruesome past exists in the charming little town of Newburgh, Indiana? On this tour, attendees will hear stories from the Civil War Era, the Great Depression, and the early 1900's. Listen to some of Newburgh's most haunting tales, including the tragedy at Farmer's Bank, The Exchange Hotel's history, and tales of Hulvershorn's Coffin Shop. The tour focuses on the history and storytelling of alleged paranormal activity, ghostly encounters, and local legends in our historic downtown homes.   Tours will run every 15 minutes each night from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm with 8:45 pm tour being the last tour of the night.
