Located below stairs in the Large Mansion, Gunnersbury’s kitchens reveal the hidden world of Victorian domestic life. On a 30 minute guided tour, you will explore the working kitchens of one of the richest and best‑connected people in Victorian Britain.
Designed at the cutting edge of Victorian innovation, these kitchens were built to meet the demands of a busy 19th‑century country estate and formed the heart of the household, where cooks, kitchen maids and other servants prepared meals and kept daily life running behind the scenes.
