Join Iowa PBS at the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center in Council Bluffs on November 8 at 7:30 p.m. for the premiere of Historic Buildings of Iowa: Council Bluffs. Doors to the auditorium will open at 7 p.m. with light refreshments served. Iowa PBS Producer/Director Dan Bolsem will also share insights into the making of this documentary before the film begins at 7:30 p.m. ASL interpretation and open captions will be provided. The latest installment of Iowa PBS's architecture programs, this hour-long documentary journeys west to ride the rails to Council Bluffs, where historic buildings and landmarks tell the tale of the innovators and explorers who would come to define this gateway to the American West. Buildings featured in the documentary include the Historic General Dodge House, the Union Pacific Railroad Museum, the Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center, Lincoln-Fairview Historic District, Squirrel Cage Jail, the Bregant House and the Iowa School for the Deaf.
Complimentary parking is available on South 6th Street to the west of the main entrance or directly south of the Hoff Family Arts & Culture Center. Registration is free but required.
